The Importance of Digestive Enzymes in Dogs
The Benefits of Pan-tenex for Dogs with Digestive Issues
Enhanced Nutrient Absorption
Pan-tenex supports proper food digestion for dogs, helping them absorb key vitamins, minerals and proteins. It maintains healthy weight, builds stronger muscles and boosts overall vitality.
EASE Digestive Discomfort
Many pet owners notice a reduction in diarrhea, bloating, and gas after adding Pan-tenex to their dog’s meals. This significantly improves the dog’s comfort and daily well-being.
Improved Skin and Coat Health
Because fats and proteins are better digested, dogs on Pan-tenex often develop shinier coats and healthier skin. Proper digestion allows essential fatty acids to be absorbed more effectively.
Increased Energy Levels
With proper nutrient intake, dogs experience renewed energy and enthusiasm. Many regain their playful nature and seem more active throughout the day.
How to Use Pan-tenex for Maximum Effectiveness
Determining the Right Dosage
The amount of Pan-tenex needed depends on the dog’s meal size and the severity of their digestive issues. It is best to start with the recommended amount and adjust as needed based on results and a veterinarian’s guidance.
Mixing the Powder with Food
To ensure proper digestion, Pan-tenex should be thoroughly mixed with the dog’s moistened meal. You must let the moistened food and enzymes sit for at least 15 minutes before serving, allowing the enzymes to activate or incubate.
Feeding Tips
Breaking meals into smaller, more frequent portions can help improve digestion. Feeding consistency is also key to maintaining digestive health, so owners should aim to serve meals at the same times each day.
Recommended Feeding Guidelines
To every meal (meal = up to 2.5 cups of food) add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (about 1.4 to 2.8 grams) to moistened pet food that is at room temperature. Mix well, to allow the enzymes to blend with the food. After mixing, leave at room temperature for at least 15 minutes before feeding.
For meal sizes of one-cup, you can start with 1/4 teaspoon.
For meal sizes of less than one-cup, you can start with 1/8 teaspoon.
Always use the least amount possible to maintain good stools.
Stay at a given dose for at least 4 days (with every meal) and then examine the stools. If required, increase the dose by only a 1/4 teaspoon increment and wait another 4 days to check the stools again. Repeat this process until stools become firm.
All meals should be prepared fresh with enzymes.Meals prepared with enzymes should not be refrigerated.
Powder must be thoroughly mixed & incubated with moistened pet food before feeding.Do not feed dry enzyme powder to your dog.
Enzymes do not need to fully dissolve after mixing with pet food.Always provide plenty of fresh water for drinking.Never use hot water in the preparation of enzymes.Do not microwave pet food that has been prepared with enzymes.
Enzyme jars should not be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
As with any supplement, it should only be given to your dog on the recommendation by and under the supervision of a veterinary professional.
This 8.8 Ounce (250 Gram) container provides approximately 89 servings.

The Story of Pan-tenex
Pan-tenex was launched in 2014 by AVF, LLC. Inspired by the loss of his childhood German Shepherd Duke, who suffered from enzyme deficiency in the 1970s, the founder built a career in pharmaceuticals and pet supplements, establishing an enzyme distribution business in 2005.
After a 2012 proposal for better, more affordable enzymes was turned down by a major brand, he developed his own formula. Since 2014, Pan-tenex has helped tens of thousands of pets across the U.S., Canada and the EU with premium, budget-friendly digestive enzymes. As the brand nears its 10th anniversary in late 2025, it stays true to its mission and plans to release a canine joint supplement in 2026.
Testimonials
Some of the many lives we have touched…
Emma
"Emma started having issues with diarrhea in the summer of 2023. We initiallythought it was just incidental bowel issues. By November we noticed she was gettingvery thin and was being seen for a regular checkup. Her stool was negative forparasites, and blood tests were done. She was found to have digestive issues and webegan using a product which was concerningly expensive. We found Pan-tenex in aFB group and tried it. The website answered so many questions for us and our Emmahas gone from 69 pounds to 90 pounds in a few months and is continuing to be ahealthy, beautiful, and "well-digested" pup with soooo much energy! Thank you toPan-tenex for an affordable option to keep her healthy!"

Titus
"I adopted Titus from a service dog program, after he failed due to a 'unknown' health issue. He was so small, balding around his eyes, constant state of flight. He ate every meal like it was his last and then cried when he went potty. We learned about Pan-tenex and once we started using it, what seemed like overnight, Titus was a brand-new dog. Confident, happy, secure."

Wreck
"This is Wreck. In 2018, Wreck was still a puppy when he came into my workplace, and I took him home to join his dog brother Crash. At about 1 and a half he lost almost 30 pounds and was deteriorating quickly. I immediately began researching solutions and found Pan-tenex, which has truly been our savior. He has been stable ever since we started using Pan-tenex. I am so thankful he has been able to live a happy, healthy, long life, and I am looking forward to many, many more years with him."
